3 wedding and christening

We had a nice busy week on our return from our holiday starting with a 4 tier Chocolate Cigarello Cake for Sarah and Gareth at the Veterans Club in Farnworth, A 2 tier christening Cake, and 2 Chocolate Cups Cakes the first for Lucy and Dan at the Spread Eagle in Sawley, and the Second for Gemma and Matt at the Inn at Whitewell.

Sneaky Peek at our wedding fair cakes

With wedding fair season fast approaching we have been busy getting our sample cakes ready, here are a few you can expect to see.

  So far we have 3 wedding fairs booked starting with Salmesbury Hall on the 5th September, and Spread Eagle Sawley on the 12th September and Burnley Football club on the 10th October.

Remember we will have tasting cake too!!

Hope to see plenty of people at the shows.

9 Tiers! A Castle! and Sugar Flowers

Only 3 cake this week, but what cakes!! We started by Making a 2 foot square Castle cake for Lynn and John who had their wedding at the lovely Dunkenhalgh Hotel the cake was so heavy it took two of us to deliver ( a Thank you goes to Craig for his extra pair of strong arms!). We next went to Fence Gate Inn to set up Angela and Karl’s Cake a more familiar 3 tier cake with plenty of sugar flowers. And finally on to Samlesbury Hall to complete the day with  9 Tiers of Chocolate Cup finished with fresh berries for Sarah and Nick.

Looks like I have been Piping!!

With 3 wedding cake two birthday cake and trying to get ahead for wedding fair in September, along with what felt like a million polka dots it’s been yet another busy week.

Anyway on the the cakes, the first cake ( black and white one) was made for the daughter of our neighbour and Julie and her Groom Mark got married at Mitton Hall. The second cake was at Mitton fold (4 tier lilies) which was handy for delivery as I had just been Mitton Hall :) and it looks like Amy and Andrew were in for a good day and the venue look lovely.

our final wedding cake was in a marquee in ribchester (I got lost trying to find it!!) for Rosie and Paul and Passion florist of clitheroe decorated it for us ( see the action shot!)

and a couple of birthdays as well Toy story and Top gear!!

 

I have started work on our wedding fair cakes (12th Sept Spread Eagle)  and (10 Oct  Burnley Football Club) so here is a sneak preview!!
